ACC-OC hosted the 2026 Leadership Summit and Golden Hub of Innovation Awards at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, bringing together elected officials, city leaders, regional partners, and community stakeholders for an evening celebrating bold leadership and regional impact. The Golden Hub of Innovation Awards recognized outstanding programs, projects, and individuals making a meaningful difference throughout Orange County, honoring exceptional achievement in public policy, innovation, and community collaboration. Congratulations to all finalists, honorable mention recipients, and award winners whose dedication and innovation continue to shape the region's future.

ACC-OC was proud to serve as an Event Partner for the 4th Annual Orange County Women in Leadership Summit, embracing this year's theme, "Lifting as We Lead." The Summit brought together a diverse and engaged audience of female elected officials and community leaders from across the region for a day focused on fostering strategic partnerships, strengthening networks, and empowering women leaders to uplift one another while shaping the future of Orange County.

ACC-OC welcomed the new year with the Installation and Celebration of the 2026 Board of Directors, bringing together member cities, partners, and invited guests to recognize leadership and service. The evening honored Outgoing President Hon. Jamey Federico, Dana Point, for his leadership and dedicated service, and welcomed Incoming President Hon. Tanya Doby, Los Alamitos, to lead the organization forward. ACC-OC extends its appreciation to State Senator Tony Strickland for conducting the oath of office for the 2026 Board, and to the many regional and state leaders who joined in honoring this milestone. We look forward to a year of continued advocacy and impact on behalf of Orange County's cities.

ACC-OC closed out the year at the annual Orange County Regional Holiday Mixer, co-hosted in partnership with the League of California Cities Orange County Division, Orange County Business Council, and OC Tax. Held at the Orange County Museum of Art, the evening brought together elected officials, city staff, affiliate partners, and community leaders from across the region to celebrate the season and the connections that make Orange County stronger. Thank you to everyone who joined us in closing out the year together.

Introducing Hon. Bob Ruesch, Mayor Pro Tem of Mission Viejo and Chair of the Legislative & Regulatory Committee for ACC-OC (previously ACC-OC's Large City Representative). Mayor Pro Tem Bob Ruesch has made significant contributions to Mission Viejo, focusing on crime reduction, supporting local business development, and the Los Osos revitalization program. In his new role as Chair of the Legislative & Regulatory Committee, Bob will collaborate with fellow leaders to review, analyze, and make recommendations regarding regional, state, and federal legislation and regulatory issues. Introducing Hon. Joshua Sweeney, Mayor Pro Tem of Laguna Hills and ACC-OC’s 5th District Representative. Joshua has been a key leader in addressing Laguna Hills’ growing housing needs, highlighted by collaborative work for the City’s successful certification of its housing element. As Chair of ACC-OC's Energy, Environment, and Water Committee, he champions sustainable practices and the responsible management of energy, environmental, and water resources across Orange County.
