The ACC-OC Economic Development and Tourism Committee, chaired by Mayor Pro Tem Norma Campos Kurtz, City of Anaheim, is pleased to invite you our upcoming Webinar, “City Financing Strategies and Solutions with John Lambeth, Founder and CEO of Civitas.” This informational webinar will cover pertinent information on strategies for cities to secure additional revenue streams for essential city services.
This webinar will be held on Wednesday, July 10thfrom 12:00-1:00 PM as a virtual meeting.
Join John Lambeth, Founder and CEO of Civitas, as he addresses the growing problem of municipal budget shortfalls by exploring unique finance funding strategies, including Tourism Improvement Districts and Sales Tax Increment Financing. These unique mechanisms can help cities invest in their community by creating sustainable funding sources. Cities around the world are utilizing these innovative solutions to fund capital improvements, provide further economic growth, and achieve stable funding for their communities.
John will also discuss Property & Business Improvement Districts and the how these stable funding sources allow businesses and/or property owners to improve their business districts by working together to make significant improvements, attract consumers and new businesses, and activate their commercial area.
Civitas has unparalleled experience forming and renewing TIDs, including the formation and renewal of 120 PBIDs and 203 TIDs, 112 of which are in California. John was the primary author of the Property and Business Improvement District Law of 1994 and has also drafted several amendments to the law since its passage.
