Metropolitan Water District Colorado River Aqueduct Tour
Join us on an enlightening journey through the marvels of the Colorado River Aqueduct, a 242-mile engineering feat spanning open canals, tunnels, and siphones, delivering millions of gallons of water daily from the Colorado River to Southern California. Experience firsthand the intricate workings of this historic aqueduct as we explore key locations such as the Robert B. Diemer Water Treatment Plant in Yorba Linda, Lake Matthews in Riverside, the Whisett Intake Pumping Plant on Lake Havasu, and the picturesque Copper Basin reservoir nestled in the hills above Gene Camp.
