The 2024 ACC-OC Advocacy Trip to Washington, D.C., was a resounding success! Our delegation had an incredibly productive week, engaging with top federal policymakers, business leaders, and industry experts on critical issues facing Orange County. From housing and homelessness to economic development and infrastructure, we brought our local priorities to the national stage and gained valuable insights into shaping policy.
Throughout the trip, our delegation participated in briefings with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, and key Congressional offices. These meetings provided vital opportunities to advocate for Orange County’s interests while fostering new connections and strengthening existing relationships with national leaders.
We also discussed key issues like transportation, energy, and public safety, ensuring that Orange County’s voice is heard in the highest halls of government. Our meetings highlighted the need for continued collaboration between local, state, and federal governments, and we left Washington, D.C., with renewed energy and innovative ideas to bring home.
In addition to the knowledge gained, this trip fostered new partnerships and strengthened our network of advocates committed to advancing the interests of our communities. We are excited to continue these conversations and look forward to applying the lessons learned to improve the quality of life for all Orange County residents.
Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible. Your continued support is not just appreciated, but it's also integral to our success as we work together to create a brighter future for Orange County.

City of Anaheim
Anaheim has officially begun transforming North La Palma Park Way and Swan Street into a beautiful gateway promenade to La Palma Park, one of the city’s largest parks. This project marks the start of a $20 million revitalization plan for the 21-acre park, which has been a community landmark since its opening in 1939.
The new promenade will feature tree-lined walkways, over 200,000 square feet of paved roads, and six crosswalks to improve walkability. Additionally, 48 shade trees and over 500 drought-tolerant plants will enhance the area’s aesthetics and sustainability. This landscaping effort aims to reduce urban heat and greenhouse gas emissions while capturing stormwater to replenish groundwater supplies.
This initiative, funded by a $2.6 million Clean California grant, aims to make La Palma Park more accessible and enjoyable for residents and visitors alike.
