Every dollar raised from this magical event will support health care programs, education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals. More than two million children a year depend on CHOC. And our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.

This training is perfect for all City and Regional Leaders to enhance their ability to act in critical situations and ensure they are prepared to provide immediate assistance in emergencies.

Tour participants will learn about history of SONGS, see firsthand the decommissioning progress, learn about the storage of spent nuclear fuel and what the community can expect in the short and long-term for the site.

Orange County Goodwill
The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) and Goodwill of Orange County have been partners in workforce development for over 30 years. Goodwill OC has provided meaningful career opportunities for people with disabilities within OCFA. Four Goodwill OC participants have worked at OCFA for 13, 19, 33, and 34 years, taking on vital roles supporting critical tasks. The Goodwill OC team works alongside a job coach named Eli, who helps them stay on track with their tasks. The roles filled by the Goodwill OC team at OCFA are essential to the smooth operation of the OCFA Service Center, and their presence ensures that necessary responsibilities are fulfilled. This partnership has created meaningful career opportunities for individuals and a caring and connected community in Orange County.
Orange County Sanitation District
The Orange County Sanitation District (OC San) is pleased to announce the election of Ryan Gallagher, Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Tustin, as the new Board Chairman, and Jon Dumitru, Councilmember for the City of Orange as the Board Vice-Chairman.
Ryan Gallagher succeeds Chad P. Wanke, Councilmember for the City of Placentia, who led the OC San Board for two years, overseeing the completion of various strategic plan goals which include recycling 100 percent of OC San’s reclaimable flow, completion of the Headquarters building, and many others.
Orange County Transportation Authority
The Orange County Transportation Authority has approved a balanced budget of $1.76 billion for the upcoming fiscal year, focusing on public transit and transportation improvements. The budget includes significant investments in public transit, freeway improvements, and street enhancements. It reflects a $58 million increase over the previous year's budget and emphasizes responsible planning for a balanced and sustainable transportation future. Other key budget themes include maintaining intense reserve levels, ongoing investment in zero-emission buses and infrastructure, stable operations of express lanes, and continued funding for Metrolink service. The budget will fund various capital improvement projects on freeways and local streets to transition to zero-emissions and improve air quality. Funding for these initiatives will come from Measure M, a voter-approved half-cent sales tax for transportation.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department recently opened a new $110 million technology center in Tustin. This state-of the art facility is designed to enhance the department's operational capabilities and improve public safety through advanced technology and innovation.

City of Laguna Beach
Join Laguna Beach for the 2024 City of Laguna Beach 4th of July Drone Show celebration! The drone show begins at 9:00 p.m. from Monument Point in Heisler Park on Thursday, July 4. Large crowds are anticipated for the July 4th holiday and the City is requesting the public’s cooperation to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for residents and visitors.
Areas of Heisler Park, including the Lawn Bowling Green and Monument Point area will be closed all day on Thursday, July 4. Additionally, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the area of Heisler Park from Myrtle Street to the Rockpile Beach stairs at Jasmine Street will be closed to the public to allow for the 4th of July drone flyover beginning at 9:00 p.m. Tune into the Voice of Laguna and KXFM Radio to listen to a live audio simulcast of patriotic music during the drone show!
After the drone show ends, expect heavy traffic as many visitors will be leaving via Laguna Canyon Road and Coast Highway. For traffic and emergency updates, sign up for Nixle by texting 92651 to 888-777.
Transit Services Operating Under Modified Schedule
City Trolleys will operate under a modified schedule on July 4: the Coastal Route will run from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and the Canyon Route from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Laguna Beach Local On-Demand service will run from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The normal transit service schedules will resume on Friday, July 5.
City of Yorba Linda
Get ready for the 4th of July Spectacular in Yorba Linda! Attendees will enjoy food vendors, family activities, live music, and spectacular fireworks! The fun starts on Tuesday, July 4 at 5 p.m. with live music featuring Kayln & The New Frontier and fireworks blasting off at 9 p.m. The event can be enjoyed from Veterans Park or Yorba Linda Middle School.
City of San Juan Capistrano
Mark your calendars for the annual San Juan Capistrano Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks Display taking place at the athletic fields located at Marco Forster Middle School (25601 Camino Del Avion). This year’s family-friendly celebration will feature live music, food, games and activities, and a spectacular fireworks display.
Date: Thursday July 4th
Time: Starting at 2:00 p.m
Live music beginning at 2:30 p.m. featuring Flashback Heart Attack (80’s Hits), followed by Family Style (Blues, Soul, and Rock n’ Roll) at 4:30 p.m. and the community favorite Tijuana Dogs (Classic Rock and Dance) closing the show.
In addition to the live entertainment, activities will include face painting, a mechanical car ride, multiple bounce houses, several midway-type games, and food trucks. There will also be a small vendor area for attendees to support local businesses and non-profit organizations.
